The primary objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell include :

  • Awareness and Sensitization : To educate students, faculty, and staff about the harmful effects of ragging and promote a zero-tolerance policy
  • Prompt Action : To provide a swift and efficient mechanism for reporting, investigating, and addressing ragging complaints.
  • Support for Victims : To offer support and counseling services to victims of ragging.
  • Enforcement of Regulations :To enforce anti-ragging laws and institutional policies rigorously, ensuring accountability and justice.
  • Structure and Composition :The Anti-Ragging Cell comprises members from various segments of the institution to ensure a balanced and comprehensive approach. The typical structure includes:
    • Chairperson : A senior faculty member or administrator with experience in student affairs and a commitment to maintaining campus safety.
    • Faculty Representatives : Members from different academic departments to ensure diverse perspectives and expertise.
    • Administrative Staff : Representatives from the administrative offices to address non-academic aspects of ragging complaints.
    • Student Representatives : Selected student representatives to ensure that the student body is adequately represented and involved in anti-ragging initiatives.
